New Garmin Fenix 7 and Forerunner 265 smartwatch features discovered – Notebookcheck.net

Garmin smartwatch users have reported several new features added after recent Public Beta updates, which were not listed in the change logs. The Health and Wellness menu now shows three additional items: Daily Summary, which can be toggled On or Off; Stress Alerts, which can be set to Off, During Event or After Event; and Rest Alerts, which can be turned On and Off.

The Daily Summary provides a snapshot of how your stress and activity have impacted your Body Battery score, displayed shortly before bed. Rest Alerts note a restful period and how it has boosted your Body Battery, while Stress Alerts show how a tense period has negatively affected your score. The three new items in the Health and Wellness menu are listed alongside Move Alerts, reminding you to stay active and avoid sitting for long periods. These tools are already available on the new Venu 3 and Vivoactive 5 smartwatches.

Blogger Život s Garminem, an owner of a Fenix 7 wearable, noted seeing the new menu items after Public Beta update 15.68 or 15.69, released several weeks ago. Another Garmin smartwatch user, this time with a Forerunner 265 model, noted the tools available after installing Public Beta software 17.18, which arrived around the same time as the update for the Fenix 7. Update 15.69 was also provided for Epix 2, Enduro 2, MARQ Gen 2 and Quatix 7 smartwatches, and version 17.18 for the Forerunner 255, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 wearables, so these too could have received the new tools. It is unclear whether or when Garmin will officially announce these minor features.
