Huawei has started rolling a fresh update to the Watch GT 4, following the Watch 4 Pro’s recent upgrade to HarmonyOS 4. Incidentally, Huawei updated the Watch GT 4 to HarmonyOS 4.0.0.109 late last month, having released it in September with its latest OS. Nonetheless, it has already sought to move its mid-range smartwatch onto a new build.
According to GSMArena, Huawei has now introduced HarmonyOS 4.0.0.122 (C00M02), which arrives as approximately a 46 MB download. As always, the update will arrive in batches rather than to all devices at once. Thus, it could take Huawei a few days of weeks before it pushes a notification to download HarmonyOS 4.0.0.122 (C00M02) to your Watch GT 4.
Based on the screenshot below, Huawei has improved sleep tracking, albeit without going into specifics. Likewise, it claims that HarmonyOS 4.0.0.122 (C00M02) optimises the Cycle Calendar app in unknown ways. For reference, you can check whether the update is ready to download by heading to the Huawei Health app on your paired smartphone, tapping Devices, the Watch GT 4 and finally ‘Firmware Update’.
